About the Utah DLD written test
The Utah knowledge test (often searched as the Utah permit test or Utah DMV test) checks that new drivers understand road signs, traffic laws and safe driving habits before getting a learner's permit. The questions come from the official Utah driver handbook published by the Utah Driver License Division.
Utah applicants take an untimed knowledge test based on the Utah Driver Handbook, and 80% or better is required to pass. First-time Class D applicants also take a Traffic Safety and Trends exam that requires a perfect score.
