About the Florida DHSMV written test
The Florida knowledge test (often searched as the Florida permit test or Florida DMV test) checks that new drivers understand road signs, traffic laws and safe driving habits before getting a learner's permit. The questions come from the official Florida driver handbook published by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
Florida applicants earn a learner's license by passing the 50-question Class E Knowledge Exam, and a score of 40 correct (80%) is required. First-time drivers must also complete a Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education (TLSAE) course before testing.
