About the Mississippi DPS written test
The Mississippi knowledge test (often searched as the Mississippi permit test or Mississippi DMV test) checks that new drivers understand road signs, traffic laws and safe driving habits before getting a learner's permit. The questions come from the official Mississippi driver handbook published by the Mississippi Department of Public Safety.
Mississippi applicants must pass a knowledge exam and an eye exam in person at a Driver Service Bureau station, based on the Mississippi Driver's License Manual. The manual is free to download or $3.00 at a station, and electronic devices are not allowed in the testing area.
